At least 125 passengers have been found corona positive in an Air India flight coming to Amritsar airport in Punjab via Italy. According to ANI news agency, there were 182 passengers on board, out of which 125 passengers have been found positive. After the spread of Omicron, the government has imposed many restrictions on flights coming from abroad, in which the corona test has been made mandatory. Along with this, RT-PCR test is also done at the airport.
According to the information, the administration has quarantined all the passengers for the time being. It is worth noting that the infection of the coronavirus is increasing wildly in the country. Today, more than 90 thousand infected have been found in the country in a day. Along with this, 325 people have also died due to the coronavirus.
According to the data of the Ministry of Health, there were about 58 thousand cases in the country on January 4 and on January 5, it went beyond 90 thousand. More than 66 percent of corona cases in the country have been found from Maharashtra, Bengal, Delhi, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The maximum number of cases came in Maharashtra, where on January 5, more than 26 thousand cases were found. Corona cases are increasing continuously in Jharkhand and Bihar also.
At the same time, the cases of infection of Omicron variant have increased to 2630 in the country. The symptoms of Omicron so far are very mild in the country, due to which there is little fear. But the Ministry of Health is constantly warning that not to be careless about it. So far one person has died of Omicron variant in the country, who was suffering from many other diseases.
Because of the increasing cases of Corona, many states of the country have imposed restrictions, in which schools and colleges have been ordered to be closed. Along with this, spas, gyms, parks and stadiums have also been closed. Offices are functioning with 50 percent capacity.
