On Monday, 146 cases of Covid-19 were reported in Odisha, of which nine personnel were involved in the disaster response team. With this, the total number of infected in the state has increased to 4,055, an official of the health department gave this information. He said that out of the 146 reported cases, 128 cases belong to different habitat centers where those returning from different states have been kept.
9 FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL INFECTED
He further said that 18 cases were of people exposed to infected persons. "Out of the fresh cases reported, there are nine fire department personnel who have returned from West Bengal where they were deployed for relief work after the Amphan cyclone," the official said.
2,708 PATIENTS RECOVERED
With this, the number of cases among personnel involved in disaster relief work has increased to 158. In Odisha, 1,333 people are still infected and 2,708 patients have recovered after treatment, whereas seven people have died in Odisha of Covid-19. Three other Covid-19 patients died but the infection was not the cause of their deaths.
