A health department official said that the total number of Covid-19 infected in Odisha increased to 3,140 with 146 new cases of infection. He said that the number of patients undergoing treatment in the state is now 1,136, while 1,993 patients have recovered from this disease.
So far, 9 people have died due to corona virus infection in the state, while 2 other patients found infected have died due to other diseases, the official said. They said that out of 146 new cases, 127 have come from different quarantine centers where people returning from different states have been kept under surveillance. The remaining 19 cases were detected during contact tracing.
The Health Department said that of the 146 new cases, 49 NDRF employees and 12 personnel of ODRAF were found to be infected after returning to the state from West Bengal.
