Taking a dig at former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, the BJP on Wednesday said the former finance minister P. Chidambaram should give tuition to Former Congress President to make him understand the difference between "write off" and "forgive". The BJP insisted that the Modi government has not forgiven anyone's debt.

Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said here, "Rahul Gandhi should take tuition from P Chidambaram to understand the difference between 'write off' and 'forgive' debt." He tweeted. Write-off is a normal accounting process and does not preclude recovery or action against the defaulter. He asserted that the Narendra Modi government Sector has never forgiven the debt of some defaulters, Rahul Gandhi must understand that right means of an apology.

It is worth mentioning that Rahul Gandhi, in response to a question asked under RTI, while referring to the list of bank loan defaulters given by the Reserve Bank of India, said that he had asked the government the names of bank scammers in a question in Parliament but they did not answered.
