India has been witnessing a gradual decrease in daily coronavirus cases. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 50,848 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count of the cases to 3,00,28,709. With 1,358 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 3,90,660.
The country also witnessed 68,817 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 2,89,94,855. With this, the country's recovery rate has increased to 96.56%. On the other hand, India's mortality rate stands at 1.30%.
There has been a steady decline in active cases of coronavirus in the country. According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours, the active cases in the country have been reduced by 19,327. Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the country stands at 6,43,194. The active cases rate in India stands at 2.14 %.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 19,01,056 samples were tested across the country on Tuesday. Meanwhile, a total of 39,59,73,198 samples have been tested so far till June 22.
Meanwhile, mass vaccination against COVID-19 is underway in the country. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, so far 29,46,39,511 people have been vaccinated in the country. Out of this, 54,24,374 vaccines were administered in the last 24 hours.
On Wednesday, 397 coronavirus cases reported in the state. Meanwhile, 467 people recovered and 8 died. So far, 14.32 lakh people have been infected here. Of these, 14.05 lakh have cured, while 24,933 patients lost their lives. Currently, there are 1,918 patients who are undergoing treatment.
