India reported 3,26,098 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count of the cases to 2,43,72,907, the Union Health Ministry reported on Friday. With 3,890 people succumbing to the infection in the last 24 hours, the death toll has mounted to 2,66,207. Currently, there are 36,73,802 active cases of COVID-19 in the country.
The country also witnessed as many as 3,53,299 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 2,04,32,898. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), as many as 31,30,17,193 samples have been tested for COVID-19 up to May 13. Of these 16,93,093 samples were tested on Friday. The total doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered stand at over 18,04,57,579 crore, informed the health ministry.
On Saturday, the state reported 39,923 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 53,249 patients recovered and 695 died. So far, 53.09 lakh people have been affected by the epidemic in the state. Of these, 47.07 lakh people have recovered, while 79,552 have died. Currently, there are about 5.19 lakh people, who are undergoing treatment.
On Saturday, 8,506 coronavirus cases reported in the state. Meanwhile, 14,140 people recovered and 289 died. So far, 13.80 lakh people have been infected here. Of these, 12.88 lakh have cured, while 20,907 patients lost their lives. Currently, there are 71794 patients who are undergoing treatment.
On Saturday, 9,995 fresh cases reported in the state. At the same time, 15,365 people were recovered and 104 died. Till now, 7.35 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 6.09 lakh have been cured, while 8944 patients have died. There are 1.17 patients who are undergoing treatment.
