US Pharmaceutical giant Moderna on Friday claimed that its COVID-19 vaccine is effective in protecting against infection for six months. The company has issued a statement saying that after the second dose, showed hardly any change from the 94% efficacy reported in its original clinical trial. At the same time, Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel says that three doses of the vaccine are necessary to be safe. He further said, "We are now capacity constrained for 2021. We are not taking any more orders for 2021 delivery. Our COVID-19 vaccine is showing durable efficacy of 93% through six months, but recognize that the Delta variant is a significant new threat so we must remain vigilant."
