Foreign Hands Moved towards India in the Fight against Corona

Every day foreign flights are arriving in the country to help in the fight against Corona. So far, oxygen and other materials have arrived in more than 25 flights from abroad.

International Airports: The second wave of Corona in the country is in spate. More than four lakh infected cases reported daily. For the last several days, there has been an outcry over oxygen in hospitals across the country. Many Covid-19 patients are dying due to lack of oxygen.

But the good thing is that now from all over the world, India has put forward a helping hand for the fight against Corona. After America and Britain, oxygen has started reaching the country every day from many other countries. So far, 25 flights of oxygen and other materials have arrived at Delhi International Airport.

Where is the help coming from?

Netherlands

A flight carrying 449 ventilators, 100 concentrators, and other medical supplies from the Netherlands arrived in India this morning. The Ministry of External Affairs said that in the coming few days, the remaining medical equipment will also be sent by ship.

Switzerland

A flight from Switzerland, with 600 oxygen concentrators, 50 ventilators, and other medical supplies, arrived in India this morning.

Britain

Earlier on May 4, an Indian Air Force flight brought oxygen cylinders from the UK. The flight reached Chennai International Airport.

America

Many things are coming from America. White House spokeswoman Jane Saki said that so far, six aircraft have been sent to India for help. These include oxygen, oxygen supplies, N95 masks, test kits, and medicines. He informed that at the request of the Government of India, a consignment of American help has been handed over to the Indian Red Cross Society.

Help from many other countries in the Corona pandemic situation

In this Corona pandemic situation, India has received emergency supplies from 14 countries till 3 May, including the UK, Mauritius, Singapore, Russia, UAE, Ireland, Romania, Thailand, USA, Germany, Uzbekistan, France, Italy, and Belgium. Love Agarwal of the Health Ministry says that we are taking all the supplies right now, their distribution will start in India soon.

Meanwhile, the government has said that only double mutants can be responsible for the devastation caused by the second wave of Corona in India. A few days ago the WHO reported that the double mutant variant was first found in India, which has now spread to at least 17 countries.

So far, 16,48,76,248 crore doses have been given in Covid vaccination across the country. According to the Union Health Ministry, till 8 pm on Thursday, more than 2.62 lakh beneficiaries in the age group of 18-44 have been administered vaccine doses.
