The Omicron variant of coronavirus has now reached 17 states of the country. Omicron's rage is escalating. Due to which the status of lockdown has remained in many countries. People are also facing a lot of trouble and cases of Omicron are increasing in India too. Because of its spread, IIT experts have feared the third wave in February. Because of the danger, the Delhi government has banned Christmas and New Year parties. The US FDA on Wednesday approved Pfizer's pill Paxlovid for the fight against the corona epidemic. Now Paxlovid tablets can be used in the treatment of the Covid epidemic of people at high risk of 12 years and above. However, it will take time for it to become available in India.
It is the first drug that newly infected patients can now take at home they don't require much isolation. They will be able to use Pfizer's Paxlovid tablet in the fight against the coronavirus. So far, 250 infected people of Omicron have been found across the country. However, the Health Ministry has confirmed only 213. Of these, 90 patients have been discharged from the hospital.
The government has so far confirmed 54 cases in Maharashtra, while the state government has reported 65 cases. The cases are seen to be increasing due to which people in the country are worried. This pill is like a major milestone in the COVID pandemic, which will go a long way in treating lakhs of people. The US has claimed to reduce the risk of death among people battling corona by making a tablet called Paxlovid.
Due to the rapid spread of Omicron in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will review the situation of Corona on Thursday. In a single day, 6,317 new cases of corona have been reported across the country, which is 18.6 percent more than Tuesday. During this time 318 patients have died due to corona. The Ministry of Health has warned that the corona spreads three times faster and hence the time has come to be careful. But even after this danger, there is no caution in the country.
This is the reason why the Center has also written a letter to the states to stop the third wave, saying that containment zones should be created in the district where the infection rate is more than 10 percent, curfew should be imposed at night. Along with reducing the number of people at weddings and funerals, it has been advised to implement strict rules in large gatherings. But many questions will be looked at in the PM's meeting
Not a single new case of Omicron, a new form of coronavirus, was reported in Maharashtra on Wednesday. A day before this, 11 new cases were reported in the state. The Health Department said in a bulletin, "Not a single new case of omicron form has been reported in the state today. So distant, a total of 65 cases of this virus have been reported in the state.” Out of all these patients, 35 were discharged from the hospital after the negative report came in the RT-PCR test. A total number of 1,50,153 international travelers have come to the state since December 1. Of these, 21,809 patients are from 'high risk' countries and all have been RT-PCR tested.
The Center on Tuesday said that there is a need to take "proactive" steps because of the increase in the cases of Omicron in the country and there is a need to consider night curfew. And many such important decisions will be discussed today and what to do next, there will be a discussion about the vaccine as well, in such a situation the question is also arising that what will be the decision on Christmas, New Year celebrations? Will tough measures be taken again? What steps is the government going to take to protect against Omicron? What will be the decision on booster dose? Will there be any decision on the vaccination of children?
The worrying Omicron form of the Coronavirus is spreading rapidly in the country. Two experts from IIT Kanpur and Hyderabad have estimated through supermodel 'sutra' that due to Omicron form, the third wave of corona may be seen in the country after two months. Professor Manindra Agrawal of IIT Kanpur and Professor M Vidyasagar of IIT Hyderabad according to their theories that during the worst-case plan, the number of new cases of infection daily in February could be 1.5 lakh to 1.8 lakh. This can happen only if the Omicron variant reduces or inactivates the immunity created after vaccination or infection. Although Omicron's cases will start decreasing from March, instead of being worried, there is a need to be careful.
