Protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) are continuing in Shaheenbagh even amid 'Janata curfew'. Meanwhile, unidentified people have thrown something like chemical near police barricades, just a short distance from the picket site. Local residents say that anti-social elements have tried to set fire by throwing petrol bombs near the picket site. However, his efforts failed and everything was controlled in time.

DCP South East told that some people present on the spot have said, "A bike rider has run away by throwing chemical, we are watching CCTV and verifying the statements of people around." According to police, this attack has taken place in two places, One at Shaheenbagh Protest site, the other at Jamia's Gate number seven.

Earlier, Delhi Police had a meeting with Shaheenbagh protesters at India Islamic Center. In view of the increasing spread of Corona virus, Delhi Police appealed to the people to end the protest. Several senior officers of Delhi Police including DCP South East were also present in this meeting.On behalf of the protesters, Sirajuddin, President of India Islamic Center, Secretary Badruddin and 7 protesters who performed in Shaheenbagh also participated in this meeting.

The Delhi Police appealed to the protesters that the corona virus is spreading all over the country, so they should stop the demonstration. At least the public should not perform on curfew day. Members of the India Islamic Center also supported the police.On which the protesters of Shaheenbagh present in the meeting said that they will go to the spot and put their point in front of the people present there. However, the people present in the meantime were divided into two groups.

At present, the Protest is going on in Shaheenbagh, but only five people have been allowed to sit on the protest. This includes grandmothers and maternity grandmothers. Everyone's shoes and slippers are kept separate. Women have been asked to wear Hamjat suits. Body is completely covered in Hamjat suit.The entry and exit gate has been closed for general protesters. Thermal screening of people at the entry gate is being done. The people are being allowed inside only when the body temperature is normal.
