In order to beat the coronavirus infection in the country, vaccination is going on on a large scale. At this time, the discussion about Corona Vaccine Booster Dose is also hot. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Dr VK Paul, the head of the government-formed Covid Task Force, has said that when all the intensive scientific tests regarding the booster dose are completed, then there will be a booster dose in the country. Installation can be started. He also said that when science will say that booster doses should be given, then it will be started.
On Monday, Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) Director Dr Balram Bhargava said Monday that no scientific evidence has come so far in support of the need to give a booster dose or third dose of Covid-19 vaccine. He also said that the priority of the government is to give the second dose of vaccine to the adult population at present.
VK Paul says, 'While many studies are coming out in this regard, we are still looking for the exact answer to understand which is the right booster and what is the right time to start its vaccination. Dr VK Paul said these things during the release of the book 'Going Viral' by Dr Balram Bhargava, head of the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR).
Dr Paul said, 'There is no emergency situation to give booster dose. We are examining all the available data in-depth and there is a need to do a systematic review before taking any decision. We have time now.
India is already contemplating a policy on applying the third dose of Covid-19 vaccines. Reports had earlier also said that an expert group is working on preparing a policy document on the third dose of the vaccine in the country.
Dr Paul said that given a proper scenario, Covid-19 will end. However, he said that India needs medicines to stop the spread of infection and prevent mortality.
