Khadim of Ajmer Dargah Arrested: In response to provocative remarks regarding Nupur Sharma, a suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, the police detained Khadim Salman Chishti of the Ajmer Dargah.
Khadim was detained by Ajmer police on Tuesday night. In one of his videos, Chishti had stated that whosoever beheads Nupur Sharma will receive his house as a reward.
The video of Riyaz and Ghaus Mohammed, who murdered Kanhaiya Lal, is similar to this one of Khadim. Salman Chishti boldly threatened to kill Nupar Sharma in three-minute video while complaining about offending religious sensitivities.
Chishti is a history-sheeter and around 13 cases have been registered by the police against him. After this provocative video of him, the police has registered a case.
He fled after the case was registered. Chishti in the provoking video said, "I swear to my mother who gave birth to me, I would have shot Nupur Sharma. I'll offer my house to whoever brings Nupur Sharma's head. I promise it."
After the video of Chishti went viral, a case was registered against him at Alwar Gate police station in Ajmer City.
Ajmer ASP Vikas Sangwan said that the police have taken a very strict stand regarding this video.
Sangwan said, 'Chishti has appeared in this video in an intoxicated state.
Earlier, Riyaz and Ghaus in Udaipur murdered Kanhaiya Lal by slitting his throat for supporting former BJP leader Nupur Sharma's statement on Prophet Muhammad.
Chemist Umesh Kolhe was also murdered by slitting his throat in Maharashtra's Amravati. Umesh Kolhe also posted on social media in support of Nupur Sharma.
