On Thursday, two people opened fire on AIMIM chairman Asaduddin Owaisi's vehicle at the Chhijarsi toll plaza on the Delhi-Lucknow Expressway. When this incident was brought to light, the police officers went into action right away. Owaisi personally informed the public about the incident via Twitter. Three to four people opened fire on his car, he said. Everyone is secure, and the caravan has left. The police have taken custody of both the accused Sachin and Shubham, who fired the shot. All of this, according to the AIMIM commander, was done with him as part of a conspiracy. He also urged that the Election Commission conduct an independent investigation into the situation.
After the incident, Asaduddin Owaisi, who had arrived in Delhi recounted the full story. He claimed to have done roadshows in Meerut and Kithore. Bullets were fired at Owaisi's car while he was going home, he said. After then, his automobile sped away from the scene. The AIMIM leader stated that he saw two guys, one of them was dressed in a red sweatshirt and the other in a white jacket.
Owaisi further told that after two three kilometers the tire of his car got punctured and soon after that he went to sit in another car. After this, he talked to ASP. He said that during the conversation, the Additional SP told him that one has been taken into custody and the weapon has also been recovered. Owaisi said that there are three bullet marks on his vehicle.
Following the incident, Hapur SP Deepak Bhukar stated that a person is being questioned after being taken into custody based on CCTV evidence. Prashant Kumar, the ADG of Law and Order in Uttar Pradesh, stated that the police had become fully operational while providing information on the attack on Asaduddin Owaisi's Twitter account.
In the Lok Sabha on Thursday, Asaduddin Owaisi's party MP mentioned the matter of the attack on his AIMIM president, calling it severe. "Owaisi sahib's automobile was fired upon before his apartment was attacked," Aurangabad MP Syed Imtiaz Jalil claimed. He is unharmed. We may disagree on political and ideological issues, but this type of behavior is not acceptable. Those who are responsible should face consequences."
