Two militants have been killed in an ongoing operation of security forces in central Kashmir's Budgam on Friday.
Two Jaish-e-Mohammed's terrorists were also killed in an encounter in Kashmir's Budgam on Friday morning. This is the third such encounter in the past 24 hours, the forces of army and CRPF done their best to complete this mission and killed militants and terrorists. Four militants were killed on Thursday.
At least three soldiers were also injured in the encounter with the terrorists.
A police official said two bodies of militants were recovered from the encounter site at Sutsoo Kalan in Chatergam in Budgam on Friday morning.
"Two rifles were also found," said the police. The affiliation of the militants could not be ascertained immediately.
Forces recovered US-made sniper rifles from the slain Jaish terrorists, this US made sniper was much advanced which was used by one of the terrorists. According to sources, one of the two terrorists killed is a foreigner.
The terrorists were holed up in Budgam's Parigam area in a residential area when the joint forces of Army and CRPF cordoned off the area on specific inputs about the presence of militants.
The bodies of the two terrorists have been recovered along with an assault rifle a US-made M16 rifle.
Earlier, four militants were killed on Thursday in two encounters with security forces in Shopian and Kupwara districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Security forces launched an anti-militancy operation in Yawran forests in Shopian following information about the presence of militants there, a police spokesman said.
