Army camp in Pathankot district of Punjab has been attacked with a grenade. The grenade was thrown at the Triveni Gate of the camp. Although there was no loss of life and property in the attack, there is a high alert in Pathankot. Everywhere is being searched.
At the same time, an alert has been issued in the entire Punjab. Security has been beefed up in Amritsar, Jalandhar, Bathinda, Gurdaspur and all other cities. Police officers have been deployed at the nakas.
According to the news agency, a procession was going out from the gate of the army camp, at the same time a young man riding a motorcycle passed by. This bike rider is suspected of throwing a grenade. Pathankot SSP Surendra Lamba said that the investigation is going on in the matter, CCTV footage is being scanned. SSP Surinder Lamba told on the basis of information received from Satnri that a bike had passed in front of the camp at night. The people aboard threw a grenade towards the gate, which exploded. He informed the authorities. The area was immediately sealed and searched every now and then. The CCTV installed at the gate is also being scrutinized.

Apart from Praveen Singh, Manjit Singh and Ranjit Singh, the police have arrested some other people in this case, from whom weapons were also recovered.
