Delhi: 20 Thousand Tests of Corona Conducted on Thursday, CM Claims More Tests will be Conducted in Coming Days

It has been decided to increase the corona tests in Delhi in view of the increasing cases of coronavirus in the country's capital Delhi. The decision was taken in a meeting with the Union Home Minister Amit Shah of the Delhi government. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said in a tweet that now Delhi residents will not have any problem in getting tested. In the coming days, much more testing will be conducted than now. According to Delhi government sources, on Thursday, there have been around 20 thousand corona tests in the country's capital, which is the highest ever tests conducted here, whereas it consists 13 thousand RT-PCR tests and 7 thousand rapid antigen tests. During the meeting of Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, it was said that the testing would be doubled and then tripled.

21,341 PEOPLE CURED IN DELHI SO FAR

Significantly, the number of corona cases in Delhi has reached 49,979. Mumbai and Delhi are currently among the most infected cities with the coronavirus. So far 1969 people have died due to corona infection in the country's capital. In Delhi, 21,341 people have been cured after treatment, thus the number of active cases of corona here is 26 thousand 669. Talking about India, so far, three lakh 80 thousand 532 cases of corona have been reported here and so far 12 thousand 573 people have died due to coronavirus in the country.
