Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that the COVID-19 vaccination drive for 18-44 years age group is being halted in the national capital due to lack of doses. During a press conference, Kejriwal targeted PM Modi over vaccine shortage. He said, "Vaccination for the 18+ category halted in Delhi from today. Vaccine stock for this category has been consumed. Due to this, their vaccination centres have been shut. Only a few vaccines are available at some centres which will be administered today."

Only 8 lakh vaccines will be available in June:

Kejriwal further said, "Delhi requires 80 lakh doses a month to vaccinate its youth. But it only received 16 lakh doses in May. The Centre has further decreased Delhi's quota in June to 8 lakh doses. The national capital needs 2.5 crore doses to vaccinate all adults."
