The Petroleum Dealers Association of Haryana has appealed for a 24-hour strike on November 15, 2021, demanding an increase in the commission on the sale of petrol and diesel. Palwinder Singh, senior vice president of the association said that we demand from the government that our commission should be increased. He said that due to the sudden cut in excise duty and implementation of the rule of sale of biodiesel, we have suffered a lot, which can be compensated only by increasing the commission.
In a statement to news agency ANI, Palvinder Singh, Senior Vice President of Petroleum Dealers Association of Haryana said that due to the sudden reduction in excise duty on petrol and diesel by the government and implementation of the rule of sale of biodiesel, we have suffered a lot. Damage has been done. Therefore, there is a demand from our government that the commission should be increased to compensate for this loss.
Let us tell you that the prices of petrol and diesel have been increased wildly in the country. Although the prices of these two petroleum products have not been increased since Diwali to date. Petrol is being sold beyond Rs 100 per litre in most of the cities of the country. Due to an increase in the prices of petrol and diesel, inflation is also increasing. The common man has to pay a higher price for vegetables and fruits and food items.
At present, the petrol price in Delhi is Rs 103.97 while the price of diesel is Rs 86.67 per litre. The price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 109.98 and the price of diesel is Rs 94.14 per litre. The price of petrol in Kolkata is Rs 104.67 while the price of diesel is Rs 89.79 per litre. At the same time, in Chennai, petrol is Rs 101.40 a litre and diesel is Rs 91.43 a litre.
