It was midnight and the whole country was eagerly waiting for the lander Vikram to kiss the lunar land and bask in joy. Unfortunately it did not happen, but it is not a failure of India and ISRO. India has created a new history in space science through Chandrayaan-2. Even though contact with the lander, Vikram, landing on the moon, was lost, but the expectations of one and a half billion Indians have not been broken. Many leaders including President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi have told ISRO that the country is proud of them.
Late at around 1.51 pm, ISRO lost contact with the lander Vikram, 2.1 km from the lunar surface. The total cost of Chandrayaan-2 is Rs 978 crore and even though the lander Vikram has lost contact, the orbiter still has expectations from ISRO and the entire country. While the expectations from Orbiter Vikram may have been broken, Indian scientists put their hands on a mission that was skeptical about its success from day one. Perhaps this is why ISRO was already considering the last 15 minutes as extremely dangerous and important. The Chandrayaan-2 mission cannot be called a complete failure, so many people are congratulating this space agency of India. Everyone said that we are proud of your achievements.
Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has released an official statement on the Chandrayaan 2 mission.
On the other hand, Priyanka Gandhi wrote about Chandrayaan 2, writing, 'ISRO team is proud of everyone. Failure is a part of the journey. There is no success without him. The whole country stands with you and believes in you. '
