NIRF Rankings 2024: The NIRF Rankings 2024 has been released today, August 12, by the Ministry of Education. The complete ranking list is available on the official website.

In the medical category, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi has secured the top position.

This year, AIIMS New Delhi has maintained its top rank, while the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh has secured the second position. You can see the names of the top 5 medical institutions in the list below.

List of Top 5 Medical Institutions in the Country

  1. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi

  2. Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh

  3. Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore

  4. National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru

  5. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry

It's worth noting that in 2023, the top three positions of the institutions were the same as in the 2022 NIRF rankings.

AIIMS Delhi held the top spot, PGIMER Chandigarh secured the second position, and Christian Medical College Vellore ranked third.

Over 10,000 Institutions Apply for NIRF Rankings 2024

The rankings have been prepared based on five parameters: Teaching, Learning, and Resources; Research and Professional Practice; Graduation Outcomes; Outreach and Inclusivity; and Perception.

Higher education institutions have been listed in 13 categories, including Overall, University, Medical, Engineering, Management, Law, Architecture, College, Research Institution, Pharmacy, Dental, Agriculture and Allied Sectors, and Innovation.

This year, there has also been an increase in the number of participating institutions. A total of 10,885 institutions applied for the NIRF Rankings 2024.
