Counting of votes is going on for the by-elections held in 3 Lok Sabha and 29 assembly seats in 13 states and union territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli in the country. Counting of by-elections for assembly constituencies in 14 states is underway. YSRCP is leading on 1 seat in Andhra Pradesh, BJP on 3 seats in Assam and UPPL on 2 seats. JDU and RJD are leading in one seat each in Bihar. At the same time, INLD is leading on 1 seat in Haryana. Here, BJP candidates are leading in Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, Shiv Sena candidate is ahead in Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
By-elections were held for 29 assembly seats including three Lok Sabha seats vacant in Mandi, Khandwa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. He is pitted against Mahesh Gavit of BJP and Mahesh Dhodi of Congress. At the same time, there is a contest between BJP candidate Dnyaneshwar Patil and Congress candidate Rajnarayan Singh Purani in the Khandwa by-election. Whereas, Pratibha Singh is contesting against BJP's Khushal Singh Thakur in Mandi.
