Alia Bhatt starrer 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' is losing about Rs 3 lakh every day due to the second wave of coronavirus and lockdown in Maharashtra. In the reports, this claim is being made by quoting sources associated with the film's production team. It is being told that the film has only three days of shooting left. This is part of the background to a song filmed by Alia Bhatt. By the time the shooting stopped, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had reached the verge of completing it.
The report further claims that the makers will have to maintain the set at FilmCity until the remaining shooting of the film is completed. Co-producers Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada have to spend around Rs 3 lakh every day to save the set from breaking. This is less expensive than rebuilding the set. Therefore, the makers are ready to take this loss.
It is further written in the report that the shooting of 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' is expected to start soon. Bhansali has decided that even after the lockdown opens, he will not take the risk to start shooting immediately. They do not want to start the remaining three days of shooting until the second wave of Covid falls.
The Film is based on Hussain Zaidi's book 'Mafia Queens of Mumbai', this film will show the story of Don Gangubai. Gangubai was a big name for the Mumbai Mafia in the 60s.
