In 2020 it was reported that she would play the lead role in the biopic of Indian team cricketer Jhulan Goswami. In January 2020, Anushka was seen wearing an Indian team jersey with Jhulan at the Eden Gardens Cricket Stadium in Kolkata. The buzz was that the duo shot the video for the announcement of the biopic, which will be produced by Sony Pictures. Anushka is currently with her daughter Vamika. So the film will go on floors in late 2021. Anushka will surely do full justice to Jhulan's inspiring journey.

Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah is likely to be discharged from the hospital this Sunday. He himself gave this information in a telephonic interview. Naseeruddin's manager had confirmed in an interview that he is in the hospital and told, 'He has been admitted in the hospital for 4 days.

Bangla TV actress Shruti Das recently filed a police complaint through e-mail alleging that she has been facing online abuse for two years for her dark skin tone. Shruti Desher is playing the lead role of Noah Bose Mukherjee in Maati. She has filed two complaints but the police are yet to register an FIR.
Shruti said, "A girl from my town abused me, she was trying to grab my attention. Years ago, a friend of mine had insulted her a lot and now this girl says that I should take something from this incident. " The actress mentioned Shruti knows that girl, her name is Suparna Bose Sarkar from Katwa in his hometown, Purba, Bardhaman district of West Bengal.
