Actually, actress Deepika Padukone has canceled the Delhi schedule for the promotion of her upcoming film 'Chhapaak' due to the violence in Delhi. Deepika Padukone was to attend an event in Delhi for the film promotion, but she did not participate in that event. Initially, Deepika Padukone was going to come as a speaker, but the program was canceled.
According to sources, before the event, the film's directors Meghna Gulzar and Deepika Padukone said that they would not participate in the event. According to the statement issued by Deepika and Meghna, "we think it would be insensitive to promote our film at a time when countries and cities are going through emotional turmoil and unrest. We pray for peace and harmony and regret the inconvenience caused by our absence, but we hope you will understand."
Protests are being organized in the entire country regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act, meanwhile, the team of 'Chhapaak' has also refused to promote their Film in Delhi.
