'Naagin 3' fame actor Pearl V Puri was arrested last night on charges of raping a minor. Producer Ekta Kapoor has shared a post on Instagram. Through this, she defended his friend Pearl V Puri, who was arrested last night on charges of raping a minor.
Ekta shares a picture with Pearl and says that the victim's mother has told her that Pearl is innocent. Ekta wrote, 'Will I support the child abuser or any such person? But what I have seen from last night till now is despicable. How can humanity fall so low?'
Ekta further wrote, 'How can people who are upset with each other drag a third person into their fight? How can a person do this to another human being? Talked to the mother of the victim child several times over the phone. She said that Pearl was not involved in this and her husband is trying to fabricate stories and prove that a mother working on the set cannot take care of her child.
Ekta writes, 'If this is true then it is wrong on many levels! Using such an important #MeToo movement for its own agenda, torturing a child and blaming an innocent person is a frivolity. I have no right to decide anything, the court will decide who is right and who is wrong. My opinion is only on the basis of the child's mother who told me last night that Pearl is innocent. It is sad if people are adopting wrong methods.
According to Ekta, 'I have the child's mother many voice notes and messages which show that the allegations against Pearl are false. The film industry is as safe and unsafe as any other business. Calling it bad for your agenda is the worst thing to do. If Pearl is proved innocent, then I appeal to the people to see how movements are being misused in today's time. May justice prevail!'
A case of rape and molestation was registered against Pearl in the police station, after which the police arrested her on the night of June 4. Pearl is currently in police custody. In this case, the victim has given a statement to the police.
The victim said that first she was raped in the car and then it was repeated over and over again with her. Pearl has been arrested under the POCSO Act for raping a minor girl. The actor has been taken into their custody by the Live Police and his interrogation is going on. Amboli police has also helped in this matter.
Pearl often remains in the headlines for his relationship. Some time back his relationship with Karishma Tanna was very much discussed. Both were together for a few years but then there was a rift between them and both of them ended their romantic relationship there. However, there is still friendship between the two.
