Anand Prakash Chouksey, an educationist of the historical city of Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh, has built his house exactly like the Taj Mahal, a symbol of love built in Agra. Anand has gifted this 4-bedroom house like the Taj Mahal to his wife Manjusha Chouksey.
It is said that the Taj Mahal was to be built on the banks of the Tapti River passing through Burhanpur, but due to many reasons, this Taj Mahal was built in Agra instead of Burhanpur today. Anand Chouksey was also worried about not having the Taj Mahal in Burhanpur, but when he got a chance, he decided to give a memorable gift to his wife like the Taj Mahal.
There were many obstacles in the construction of a house like the Taj Mahal, but due to the unwavering faith of Anand Prakash Chouksey, the technical team succeeded in making a house like the Taj Mahal.
Praveen Chouksey says that Anand Chouksey himself and his wife Manjusha Chouksey went to see the Taj Mahal in Agra. Studied it closely and asked the engineers to build a house similar to the Taj Mahal. Engineer Praveen Choukse also went to Agra and saw the Taj Mahal and closely observed its technology and area.
According to Praveen Chouksey, the area of a house like the Taj Mahal is 90X90 including the minaret. The basic structure is 60X60. The Dome has been kept 29 feet high. A house like Taj Mahal has a big hall, 2 bedrooms downstairs, 2 bedrooms upstairs. A kitchen, a library and a meditation room were built.
Help has been taken from artists from Bengal and Indore for the carving done inside the house. The flooring of the house has been done by the artisans of Makrana in Rajasthan. Inlay work has been done by the excellent artisans of Agra.
The work of furniture used in the house has been prepared by the artisans of Surat and Mumbai. This house has got the award of Indian Constructing Ultratech Out Standing Structure of MP.
