Kangana Ranaut starrer 'Thalaivi' film is going to be released in theatres soon. Today the song 'Teri Aankhon Mein' from this film has been released. The song depicts the on-screen chemistry between Jayalalithaa (Kangana) and MGR (Arvind). After releasing the teaser of the song on Friday, the makers of 'Thalaivi' launched the song offering a glimpse of the golden years of South Indian cinema in the 60s and 70s.
The song featuring Jayalalithaa and MGR's chemistry, 'Teri Aankhen Mein', starring Kangana Ranaut and Arvind Swamy, combines four iconic originals, Ragasiya Police from 115, Kanne Kaniye and Anna Porutham, Ninaithai Nadathiye from Nam Naadu and Ninaithen Vandaai from Kavalkaran Kar pays tribute to the innumerable blockbusters of the great South Indian superstar. Sung by Armaan Malik and Prajakta Shukre, 'Teri Aankhon Mein' is composed by GV Prakash Kumar and written by Irshad Kamil.
Bringing on screen the relationship shared by Jayalalithaa and MGR, 'Teri Aankhen Mein' gives a deep insight into the bond between the two as co-stars who rule the silver screen. The trailer first sheds light on the untold reality of Jayalalithaa from her 16-year-old debutante to the rise of Tamil cinema's superstar, as well as the memorable and historical political journey of 'Amma'.
Taking the film to the big screen, the makers of 'Thalaivi' have paid tribute to Jayalalithaa when she is back on the silver screen. Directed by Vijay, Thalaivi is slated to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu in cinemas across the world by Zee Studios on September 10, 2021.
