Model-actress Poonam Pandey made headlines on Sunday when news of her arrest for violation of lockdown rules came into light. However, the actress has now denied her arrest saying that she was safe at home on Sunday and watched three consecutive films. On Instagram, Poonam Pandey shared a video in which she can be heard saying, "Hey guys, I did a film marathon last night. I watched three movies, it was fun. I've been getting calls from last night, that I have been arrested and I am seeing it in the news too. Friends, please do not write anything about me because I am at home and I am completely fine. Love you all."
The video was captioned, "Guys, I heard I got arrested while I was having a movie marathon last night."
Yesterday, PTI reported that Mumbai Police on Sunday registered a case against model and actress Poonam Pandey for violating the lockdown. This news was revealed by quoting an officer. The officer said that the Marine Drive Police has registered a case against Pandey and a person accompanying her. She was wandering on Marine Drive in her car for no reason. Senior Inspector of Police Mrityunjay Hiremath told PTI – "A case has been registered against Poonam Pandey and Sam Ahmed (46) who was with her, under sections 269 and 188 of Indian Penal Code and provisions of National Disaster Act."
