'Sooryavansham' (1999) may have flopped at the time of release, but is one of the most talked about films today. The film was released on May 21, 1999. Actress Soundarya Raghu of South Indian films opposite Amitabh Bachchan was seen in the film. Soundarya died 5 years after the film's release. At that time, she was 31 years old and pregnant. But the family did not get their dead body either.
In 1992, Soundarya made her big screen debut with the Kannada film Gandharva. And In the same year, she also did a Telugu-language film 'Raithu Bharatham'. In a 12-year film career, Soundarya acted in 114 films. After her death, her last film Apthamitra was released in August 2004, which was made in Kannada.

A few months before her death, she joined the BJP.
Soundarya's real name was Soumya Satyanarayana. She was born on 18 July 1972. Soundarya, daughter of senior film writer, industrialist K.S. Satyanarayan was born and brought up in Bangalore. In 2003, about a year before her death, she married software engineer GS Raghu. According to reports, in 2010 G.C. s. Raghu has remarried to a girl named Arpita.
