Soundarya's real name was Soumya Satyanarayana. She was born on 18 July 1972. Soundarya, daughter of senior film writer, industrialist K.S. Satyanarayan was born and brought up in Bangalore. In 2003, about a year before her death, she married software engineer GS Raghu. According to reports, in 2010 G.C. s. Raghu has remarried to a girl named Arpita.
