Currently, the actor revealed to IANS that he has watched original The Lion King right around multiple times. Shah Rukh stated, "We started watching 'The Lion King' when it came out. Obviously, we had three kids at different intervals. We would make pizzas or dosas or whatever the kids liked, and create a movie theatre atmosphere at home and watch Lion King." The actor went on to add, "I have seen it for 40 times at least. Maybe not the whole film but every now and then when my kids watched it," he included.
BollywoodLife reviewed the film and gave it more than two stars, "It is a ravishing looking film and it is hard to accept that everything has been made through innovation. The creatures look genuine and you will be dazed by the pictures of the woods, starlit skies, and creature developments. To put it plainly, the CGI is amazing. The little Simba is unreasonably adorable for words.
The feature of the old film was the enthusiastic remainder. Despite everything, we recollect how moved we were on observing Simba distressed over the demise of his dad. His acknowledgment of his fate and the last confrontation stood out splendidly. The story here does not have a comparative effect. We do wish that the account of Nala and Simba was fleshed better."
