Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal and actress Sara Ali Khan have been in the headlines for the past several days due to the upcoming film The Immortal Ashwatthama. The film, which is going to be directed by Aditya Dhar, director of the film Uri, was to be made on the character Ashwatthama of Mahabharata. The shooting of the film was supposed to start from this month, although now there are reports that the makers have decided to stop the film. Budget issues are said to be the reason for the film's shelving.
According to a recent Media report, the film has been put on hold due to budget issues, which have already been pushed ahead due to various reasons. The Immortal Ashwatthama was one of the most expensive Bollywood films currently being made, to make it big, the makers were considering casting many big people in it. Director Aditya Dhar's talks with Suniel Shetty to play an important role in the film were also at the final stage.
This superhero film was to be shot in India, Iceland and UAE. The makers wanted to start shooting for the film in August, however, the shooting was postponed after the second wave of Covid 19 arrived. The makers were supposed to start shooting in September, but before that, the news of the film's halt has already come.
