Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Bollywood actress Yami Gautam for questioning. This summons has been sent to her in connection with the alleged irregularities under FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act). The actress has been asked to appear on July 7 at 11 am.
It is being told that foreign exchange worth about Rs 1.5 crore has been transacted from Yami's bank account, about which she did not inform the officials. Raising doubts on some of these transactions, the ED has issued this summons. According to the information, this is the second ED summons sent to the actress.
Yami married film director Aditya Dhar a few days back. After returning from her honeymoon three days back, she again joined the shooting of the film 'A Thursday'. Yami will be seen playing the role of a school teacher named Naina Jaiswal in the film. Yami Gautam rose to fame with the ad of 'Fair and Lovely'. She has worked in films like Uri, Kaabil, Sanam Re, Ginni Weds Sunny, Vicky Donor, Bala, Badlapur, Total Siyapa.
According to reports, Yami is going to resume the shooting of Ronnie Screwvala's film A Thursday. This shooting in Mumbai will be completed within 20 days. During this, action and controversial sequences will be shot. Soon after completing this project, Yami will start work on Pink director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's next film. Apart from this, she will also have Aditya Dhar in Ronnie Screwvala's new project, although its shooting will start at the end of next year.
Not only Yami, but her husband Aditya Dhar has also started work on his project Immortal Ashwatthama. Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan are working on his film. Aditya is in talks with the actors regarding this film and has also prepared for the reading session. A major part of the film will be shot in Ukraine. Sources say that the shooting of Immortal Ashwatthama will begin in September.
