The Arvind Kejriwal government of the country's capital Delhi will start an anti-dust campaign against pollution from Thursday. The biggest thing is that under this campaign of the government, it will be necessary to implement the rules related to construction at the construction site. For non-compliance with the rules, a fine ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 5 lakh will be imposed under the guidelines of the National Green Tribunal (NGT).
According to media reports, 31 teams have been constituted for monitoring during the anti-dust campaign of the government. However, 17 teams of the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and 14 teams of Green Marshal have been deployed.
Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that it is necessary to implement 14 rules related to construction at construction sites. Also, a public notice has been issued in this regard. Along with this, an online portal will also be launched for self-audit and management of C&D waste.
Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai further said that in the first phase of the campaign, the deployed teams will carry out surveillance work in various areas with mobile vans. For this, one team each of DPCC has been deployed in East Delhi, North-East Delhi, Shahdara, South-East Delhi, South-West Delhi. However, apart from this, two teams each have been deployed in North-West Delhi, New Delhi, South Delhi, North Delhi, West Delhi and Central Delhi. Along with this, one team Green Marshal has been appointed in all the seven districts of Delhi.
He said that the members of the teams involved in the campaign have been given training on Wednesday itself. However, all the complaints related to pollution will be uploaded on the Green App. Efforts will be made to rectify the problem by monitoring it from the Green War Room.
Even after this, if someone's negligence is seen anywhere, then a show-cause notice will be issued to the concerned person, institution. Even after this, if the pollution continues, then the decision to stop the work will be taken through DPCC.
