The fear of disaster has accommodated the minds of the native people. Almost every river in the state is in spate. Due to which there has been an outcry from Kumaon to Garhwal. The Ganga Ghats in Rishikesh have submerged. The river Ganges is flowing once again touching the idol of Lord Shiva. Ganga is in spate in Haridwar too. Many rivers are too overflown these days.
Along with this, other rivers including Alaknanda, Mandakini, Nandakini, Sharda, Gori, Kosi, Ramganga have become inundated with water. An alert is issued because of this situation. Munadi is built around the rivers. Tehri, Pauri, and Rishikesh administrations are continuously making Munadi. The water level of Ganga has increased in Rishikesh and Haridwar. Due to this, alerts have issued. The water level of Ganga has reached 340.34 meters. In Rishikesh, the Ganges is flowing 18 cm below the danger mark. Almost all the Ganga Ghats of Parmarth Niketan Swargashram, Triveni, and Laxman Jhula have been submerged. Mayakund, Chandeshwar Nagar has been flooded.
In Haridwar, the water level of water reached the highest 3 lakh 92 thousand 104 cusecs this morning. A lot of silt is coming with the water. At present, no damage has done due to the rise in water level in Haridwar. It rained throughout the night in Rudraprayag district. Old Bailey Bridge on Ratoli Bypass in Rudraprayag has submerged in the river. The water level of Mandakini in Agastyamuni is on the rise. Alaknanda crossed the danger mark in Srinagar at 2 pm due to incessant rains. The water level of Alaknanda has dropped below the danger mark on Saturday morning.
Crores of drains have also sprung up on the Tanakpur-Purnagiri road. The Sharda river is in spate in Tanakpur. Water has entered the bathing ghat of Tanakpur. The surrounding population is at risk. Munsiyari-Jauljibi road has washed away at three places. Many settlements near Bangapani have come under threat. Shipra and Kosi rivers are in spate due to rain. The water level of Ramganga is continuously rising in Chaukhutia.
