A film city can be made in the coming time in Sumerpur area of Pali district of the state. For this, the government has established Mumbai's Shilpali Film City Pvt. Ltd. decided to give the land to The Cabinet Empowered Committee headed by Urban Development Department Minister Shanti Dhariwal has today approved the proposal for allotment of land for the construction of Film City. The company had sent a proposal in the year 2018 through the Bureau of Investment Promotion (BIP) about 3 years ago i.e. in the year 2018.
Shilpali Film City Pvt. Ltd. will be allotted 375 bighas of land. This land will be allotted at the commercial rate and in addition. 15 percent of the amount given to the local body will be taken separately. The company will initially develop Film City hereby investing Rs 210 crore. In this, the company will invest Rs 73.5 crore on its own behalf and the rest will be invested through other partners.
Whenever the film city is ready, then the shooting will also start here. Along with skill development, many training courses will also be conducted for the local youth so that they can get employment. However, It is expected that after becoming a film city, there will be 1 thousand or more tourism here daily. This film city will have 3 indoor-outdoor sets, a post-production hub, helipad, power sub-station, restaurant, local film production set, theatre, studio apartment among other things.
In the name of MLA Khushveer Singh's wife Indu Kumari, 1.13 hectares of land will be allotted for tourism. The units in Sadri are at a DLC rate and an additional 20 percent rate.
