He said the man had been fully vaccinated and experienced mild symptoms, which are improving.
At the same time, after the first case of Omicron was reported in America, the White House in a statement has appealed to Americans to take the Covid vaccine and booster dose.

Abdul-Karim, South Africa’s top epidemiologist, said there could be more than 10,000 daily infections by the end of the week, putting a huge strain on hospitals over the next two to three weeks.
