First Death Due to Corona virus Reported in Tripura, 42 Year Old Died of Infection

In Agartala, a 42-year-old man died of coronavirus infection. This is the first death from the disease in Tripura, whereas officials said a resident of remote village Chachu Bazar in West Tripura district was admitted to GB Pant Hospital after suffering from a heart attack in May. According to officials, he was confirmed to have been infected with the Coronavirus last Wednesday and was sent to the hospital's COVID ward.

He said that after undergoing treatment for six days, he died at 3:00 PM in the afternoon. Law Minister Ratna Lal Nath said that the family of the deceased will get Rs 10 lakh as compensation, while, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb had announced compensation for death due to coronavirus. There have been 841 cases of coronavirus reported in the state and treatment of 644 patients is still underway while 192 patients have been cured.

Let us tell you that the first case was found in Tripura on 6 April. A woman returning from Guwahati was found infected in Udaipur city of the state, who was discharged on 16 April after treatment. On the same day, a Tripura State Rifle Soldier was found infected and after treatment, he was found negative in the test on 23 April and on this day CM Biplab declared the state corona free.

9 days later i.e. on 2 May, 2 soldiers of the 138th unit of BSF were found infected in Ambasa, Tripura. Just one day later 12 more soldiers were found infected. Currently, there are 646 active cases and at the same time, 570 new cases have been reported in June, so that on an average 64 new infected are being found every day here.
