The IPL 2022 mega auction will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. All 10 franchisees competing in the upcoming season will compete intensely for the players in this auction. Despite the fact that each franchise retained a few players prior to the auction, there will be fierce competition among franchises to assemble a complete team. However, there is little doubt that each organization will be on the lookout for specific players who can complement their plan.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is reportedly interested in former West Indies captain and all-rounder Jason Holder this season, according to a report in PTI. RCB is keen to buy the holder.
According to the report, Virat Kohli's squad has set aside a budget of 12 crores to purchase Holder at the auction. RCB has set aside Rs 12 crore for Jason Holder, Rs 8 crore for Ambati Rayudu, and Rs 7 crore for Ryan Parag, according to a source close to the squad.
Let us tell you that each team has been allocated Rs 90 crore to spend on players this time. RCB has previously retained three players, with Virat Kohli receiving 15 crores, Glenn Maxwell receiving 11 crores, and Mohammed Siraj receiving Rs 7 crore. After keeping these three, the team was left with 57 crore rupees. This team will have 30 crores left over after spending 27 crores on Jason Holder, Ambati Rayudu, and Ryan Parag.
This year's IPL will feature ten teams, with Lucknow and Ahmedabad participating for the first time. The mega auction is expected to take place in February, with each team receiving a prize of up to 90 crores. Many clubs have spent their money by keeping some players, thus the remaining funds will be used to attend the mega auction.
