Teams will have the opportunity to bid on their favorite players even before the commencement of the 15th season of the Indian Premier League. On the 12th and 13th of February in Bangalore, all ten teams competing in this year's competition will take part in the Mega Auction. Everyone's attention will be drawn to making their favorite athlete a member of their squad.
Only players who have not been approached by any side are eligible for the mega auction. Prior to the mega auction, each of the eight teams in the competition had the option of keeping up to four players. At the same time, both new teams were given the option of adding a player of their choice to the team after the retention procedure was completed.
The Kings XI Punjab squad has the most money going into the blockbuster auction. The team has kept two players in room and the two players are Mayank Agarwal and Arshdeep Singh and have a total of 23 players available for purchase. There will be 15 Indians and 8 non-Indians in attendance.
Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Royal Challengers Bangalore have all kept three players, while Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans have both added three players. In this circumstance, all of these teams will be able to purchase 22 players. It can have 15 Indian players and 7 international players.
Four players were retained by each of the Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, and Chennai Super Kings. In the mega auction, each of these teams will have the opportunity to select only 21 players. A maximum of seven foreign players can be included in each team.
The Kolkata Knight Riders, or KKR, have retained two international and two Indian players. In this case, they have a total of 21 players to pick from, but only six of them are international players.
