The Telangana government will buy 125 kg of gold from the Reserve Bank of India for the gold-studded 'Vimana Gopuram' or dome of Yadadri temple. This information has been given by the Chief Minister of the state K Chandrashekhar Rao himself. CM Rao has decided to donate 1.16 kg of gold on behalf of his family for the renovated Yadadri temple. The temple will be opened for the devotees on 28 March 2022. After visiting Yadadri, Rao said the state needed to buy gold worth Rs 60-65 crore. The temple authorities were in touch with the experts doing the work at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.

TRS leaders will also donate

KCR visited the Grand Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple said that 125 kg of gold is required for gold plating at the 'Vimana Gopuram' (temple tower) of Yadadri, the upcoming integrated temple town. The required gold will be purchased from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Apart from the CM of Telangana, a minister, an MP, MLA, and leaders of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) have also announced to donate 14 kg gold.

Many donors have promised to donate gold

The CM further said that the people of the entire state would be involved to collect 125 kg gold. He also said that many donors have promised to donate gold. According to news agency IANS, Labor Minister Malla Reddy will donate 1 kg of gold to the temple. Also, another 1 kg of gold will be donated by the people of his constituency in Medchal. While Nagarkurnool MLA Marri Janardhan Reddy will donate 2 kg gold. Also, Bhaskar Rao will donate 1 kg of gold on behalf of Kaveri Seeds.

Telangana CM has sent invitations to PM Narendra Modi

Meanwhile, KCR announced that a Sudarshan Yagya would be performed with 1,000 Ritviks under the guidance of Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, eight days before the temple reopens. Notably, Chinna Jeeyar Swamy gave a handwritten muhurta letter to the temple executive officer, Geeta, asking her to place it at the lotus feet of the deity. Telangana Chief Minister has sent invitations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries on the occasion of the temple's reopening.

Temple is spread over 250 acres

On Tuesday, KCR inspected the restoration work, the main temple and the sanctum sanctorum. He also took an aerial tour of the area to take stock of the development works around the temple complex. He was received by Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy, Vedic scholars, and Archakas. The Archakas also performed special puja for KCR at Balayam, blessing him with Vedic hymns and offering prasad.

Later, KCR reached the main temple and observed the special doors made by Pembarthi artisans. According to the press release issued from the CM's office, out of the 250 acres of Temple City, 50 acres will be green and 250 cottages will be built in the rest. The cottages will be constructed by the temple authorities with the money donated by the donors.
