The hearing on the bail plea of former Karnataka minister and senior Congress leader DK Shivakumar, accused in the money laundering case, has been postponed once again. Now the next hearing of the case will be on 21 September.
Earlier, the hearing on the bail petition was held on Wednesday. The court deferred hearing of the case till Thursday.
He was produced in court on Tuesday after DK Shiv Kumar's remand was over. The ED (Enforcement Directorate) in the special court at Rouse Avenue in Delhi said that Shivkumar's health was not good. In this case, the inquiry could not be completed. Therefore, he should be sent to judicial custody and permission to be interrogated there as well.
On the other hand, the lawyers of DK Shivkumar said in the court that health is not good and heart attack can happen anytime. In such a situation, Shivkumar should be given bail. However, the court, while deciding on the bail application for Wednesday, ordered Shivakumar to be sent to judicial custody.
The special court said that Shivakumar should be taken to the hospital before jail and if doctors give advice, then send him to jail. If the doctors are admitted in the hospital, then the Tihar Jail Superintendent should deploy security personnel in the hospital and take them into custody. Take him to jail only after being discharged from the hospital. In case of not admitted, let the doctor take medicines given in jail.
