The International Cricket Council (ICC) will hold online meeting on Wednesday. During this meeting, a decision will be taken regarding the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia. The tournament is scheduled to be held from October 18 to November 15 this year. Also, the use of saliva in cricket can be banned. Earlier, the ICC Cricket Committee led by Anil Kumble, recommended a ban on the use of saliva to shine the ball.
Also, a decision can be taken on the dates of the election to be held for the post of ICC President. The term of president Shashank Manohar comes to an end in May. He has already refused to extend his tenure. England's Board Chairman Coleen Graves and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly are at the forefront as the new chairman.
Earlier on May 27, the ICC also held a meeting. The meeting was then deferred till June 10 after news related to the postponement of the T20 World Cup came to light. The board had then started an investigation into the leak of confidential information. The ethics officer was appointed for this.
