In Chhattisgarh, 14 new cases of infected with coronavirus have been reported on Tuesday and with this, the number of people suffering from this deadly virus in the state crossed the 1200 mark. The newcomers who got the infection include 2 employees of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Raipur. According to the information given by the officials of Health Department of Chhattisgarh, now the number of people infected with Coronavirus in the state has increased to 1211.
Officials said on Tuesday that Coronavirus infection has been confirmed among 14 new people in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday. These include 7 people from Raipur district, 3 people from Balodabazar, 2 people from Rajnandgaon and one each from Janjgir Champa and Bemetara district. Officials said that 2 people of Raipur AIIMS were among those infected with Coronavirus, they further said that 12 patients from AIIMS Raipur have been discharged after treatment.
So far, the number of people infected with the virus has increased to 1211 in the state, while there are 859 such patients who are undergoing treatment and 347 people have also been discharged from the hospital after treatment, while five people have died due to this virus. Officials said that there are 19,846 quarantine centers in the state in which 21,38,874 people have been accommodated. At the same time, 53,530 persons are in quarantine at home. They further said that samples of 93,059 people have been tested so far in the state.
