Congress leader Harish Rawat has given a big reaction to former Punjab CM Amarinder Singh's announcement of forming a new party before the assembly elections. According to news agency ANI, Harish Rawat said that the Congress will not suffer any kind of loss due to the departure of Captain Amarinder Singh, but it will divide the opponents of Congress. He said that the formation of a new political party by Captain will not affect Congress.
Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat said that the way Charanjit Singh Channi's government has started functioning. It has had a good impact on Punjab and the entire country, and on this basis, the votes will depend. He said that if Captain Amarinder Singh wants to go with the BJP, he can go. Harish Rawat said that if he cannot live up to his commitment to secularism, then who can stop him.
Congress leader Harish Rawat further said that he was considered a symbol of 'Sarva Dharma Sambhav' and remained associated with Congress traditions for a long time. If they want to go, they can go. Harish Rawat has urged the party leadership to relieve him of the responsibility of Punjab in charge so that he can focus on the assembly elections in his home state Uttarakhand, due a few months later.
Later, the former CM of Uttarakhand said in a Facebook post that today I have recovered from a big confusion. On one hand, my duty is for the Janmabhoomi, and on the other hand my services for the Karmabhoomi Punjab. Situations are getting complicated because as elections approach, one will have to devote full time to both places.
