Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a high-level review meeting today at his residence regarding the coronavirus. After the meeting, Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar made a big announcement in which he said that the Bihar government has taken a big decision as a precaution regarding Coronavirus. He said that all the schools, colleges, coaching institutes, all cinema halls, zoo-parks in the state will be closed till 31 March. But CBSE examinations will continue. At the same time, government workers will also come to the office in an alternate manner, so that there is no crowd in government offices.
Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar said that in view of Corona, Bihar Day (March 22) will also not celebrated. He said that the announcement of the new date regarding the event of Bihar Day will be done later. No mass events will be organized. The Chief Secretary said that all Anganwadi centers in Bihar will remain closed. The amount of mid-day meal will be credited to the families of the children while the school is closed. A review meeting will be held in Bihar again on Monday regarding Coronavirus.
During this time no cultural event will be organized in the state. At the same time, all the holidays of all health department workers have been canceled. Museums will remain closed. Guidelines will also be issued to the public.
The Chief Secretary said that these steps have been taken as a precautionary, while he said that there is no directive from the government regarding the ban on non-veg. The decision has been taken till March 31 and will be reviewed again on Monday. At the same time, Bihar Industries Association has canceled the program of 'Bihar Startup Conclave' to be held on March 14 in Patna.
Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, State Health Minister Mangal Pandey and many high officials were involved in this high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
