The debate broke out between BJP leader Randhir Sharma and Congress MLA Ram Lal Thakur during an event on Sunday in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. The incident took place during the 'Jan Manch' program in the presence of the state's Urban Development Minister Sarveen Chaudhary. The dispute between Sharma and Thakur was over misuse of budgetary provisions on roads and national highways.
It is worth noting that the Himachal Pradesh government wants to win the by-elections by solving the problems of the people with the help of the public forum. Jan Lok Manch program after Lok Sabha elections on June 16, Bagthan, home area of Himachal producer Dr. YS Parmar, Galanaghat of Ghingighad area of Pachhad on August 11, Fagu of Bhanat Panchayat of Rajgarh subdivision on Sunday and Devthi Majhgaon of Rajgarh sub-division on February 3 Was held. Due to the byelection, the state government shifted the focus of Jan Manch program to Pachhad, while as per rules, Jan Manch program is to be organized one by one in each assembly constituency of the district.
It remains to be seen how long the BJP declares its candidate after imposing the Model Election Code of Conduct. Because in Pachhad, the Congress has informally announced its candidate. The Congress is preparing to field former minister GR Musafir, while the list of ticket callouts from BJP is getting longer day by day.
