Heavy rain may start in Rajasthan from today. Many districts of Kota, Bharatpur, Jaipur, and Udaipur divisions have predicted good rains this evening. Earlier last night, there was light rain in Bharatpur, Dholpur area as well. At the same time, during the last 24 hours, Salopat in Banswara district has recorded the highest rainfall of 92 mm (about 4 inches).
In Jaipur since from this morning the sky is covered with dark clouds and strong wind is blowing. Similar weather conditions prevail in other districts including Bharatpur, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Alwar, Kota. The Jaipur Meteorological Department has predicted light and moderate rain in these districts today. Light rain has also occurred in some parts of Dholpur and Bharatpur last night. On the other hand, Dungarpur, Banswara region also received good rain in some areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, a low-pressure system is active in the area bordering Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, a Monsoon Trough is extending from the Northeast Arabian Sea passing through Gujarat, South Rajasthan, and West Madhya Pradesh up to the Cyclonic Circulation associated with the region of this system. Due to this effect, there will be rain activities in the districts of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kota division in East Rajasthan, and Udaipur division in South Rajasthan for the next few days.
