India Wins Gold: Manish Narwal wins Gold in Shooting, Singhraj gets Silver

Tokyo Paralympic 2020: India has got two medals in the 50m air pistol event. Manish Narwal won the gold while Singhraj got the silver medal. Saturday is proving to be a great day for India in the Tokyo Paralympic Games. Shooter Manish Narwal has put another gold medal in India's bag. With this, Singhraj has managed to win the bronze medal for India. Both these shooters won two medals for India in the final of the 50m air pistol event.

Manish Narwal, a resident of Kathura village in Haryana, has created history at the age of just 19. Manish Narwal had scored only 17.8 in the first two shots. But after this Narwal made a great comeback. After five shots, Narwal managed to make it to the top three and after five shots his score was 45.4. After 12 shots, Manish remained at number five with a score of 104.3.

On the other hand, Singhraj was consistently performing well. After the 14th shot, Singhraj remained at number four. After the 14th shot, only 6 players were left in the final event, including two Indian players Singhraj and Manish Narwal. However, both the players were in danger of being out.

Gold assured in last shot

But after the 15th shot, Manish Narwal reached third place with a score of 133.4. After the 16th shot, Singhraj also managed to make it to the top three. After the 20th shot, two medals were confirmed for India. The Chinese player had to be out with a score of 7.5. Manish Narwal won the gold for India in the last shot while Singhraj got the silver medal.

With two more medals in shooting, India's medal tally in the Tokyo Paralympic Games has reached 15. This is India's best performance in the history of the Paralympic Games. On Saturday, two more medals have been confirmed for India in badminton.
