The Modi government at the Center has given a big gift to the lakhs of Sikhs living in India before the Gurpurab. The government is reopening the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor from today i.e. Wednesday to reach the most revered pilgrimage site of the Sikhs. However, this time some changes have also been made in the rules for going to the shrine.
Now devotees have to follow some rules to do this journey. Only those people who have taken both doses of the corona vaccine can go to the pilgrimage site in Pakistan through the Kartarpur Corridor. All the devotees will be allowed to go only after the negative report of RT-PCR. Devotees will have to keep the Covid vaccination certificate with them.
Devotees will have to get their temperature checked on the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. They will be sanitized. Apart from this, devotees will also have to apply masks and pay attention to social distancing. The negative RT-PCR report should not be older than 72 hours. Apart from this, the certificate of corona vaccination is also mandatory.
It is worth noting that before Guru Nanak Jayanti, while giving great news to the Sikhs, Home Minister Amit Shah had said on Tuesday that the Kartar Corridor would be opened from November 17. At the same time, expressing happiness over this announcement of the government, former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has thanked PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
It is worth noting that Gurupurab will be celebrated on November 19 and this corridor is being opened from November 17. The 4.7 km visa-free corridor of India and Pakistan connects through the Kartar Corridor. India connects with Kartar Sahib through this corridor. Due to the Covid epidemic, this corridor was closed from 16 March 2020.
