Nine people have been killed in clashes between farmers and BJP leaders in Lakhimpur Kheri. Several videos and photos of the incident have appeared on social media, where a crowd of farmers and other people are wearing Bhindranwale T-shirts. Some men wearing T-shirts with the picture of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale are seen attacking vehicles. They are also carrying sticks in their hands. However, Bhindranwale has nothing to do with farmers. Amidst the agitation, none of the officials is ready to say anything about why the people are wearing Bhindranwale T-shirts. In such a situation, this incident is also pointing towards some conspiracy.

Among the 9 people killed in the Lakhimpur violence, 4 are farmers, 4 are BJP workers and 1 journalist. However, farmers' organizations have accused Union Minister Ajay Mishra's son Ashish Mishra of being crushed to death by a car. Minister and MP Mishra has denied this and accused the agitators of killing BJP workers. Regarding the incident, Ashish Mishra, son of the Minister of State, says that he was not even present there. Also, he said that he was busy organizing the riot and was not even in the vehicle in which the accident took place.

Who is Bhindranwale?

Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale's real name is Jarnail Singh Brar. He was a prominent leader of the Damdami Taksal, a religious group of Sikhs in Punjab. Also, he supported the Anandpur Sahib resolution. In August 1982, Bhindranwale and the Akali Dal started the 'Dharma Yudh Morcha'. Its aim was to achieve the objectives expressed in the Anandapur Sankalp. However, he was killed in a fight with the Indian Army.
